Togo (T) is the material made from baby calfskin, was first introduced by Hermes on their Birkin in 1997.
The baby calf is harvested in early time to make the final material lighter but sturdy. It takes up to 168 hours for the whole tanning process, which is seven times more than normal.
In result, Togo (T) is very soft and feel smooth but also grainy when touching. The plate is featured in shell-like pattern with some veins so the scratch could be hardly visible.Its structure is well recognized for the slouchiness, easy to get in form as well as being flexible. All in all, the accessory of Togo leather is very easy to clean and preserve, it is suitable for daily use.
